Mark established IDHS on March 7, 2019 after several business leadership roles in the corporate world for 22 years.  The original goal was simple, to start one hell of a commercial dive company focused on shallow water diving following his passions for the water.  Mark is a Citadel graduate, class of 1995. Mark began his diving experience in 1999 obtaining certifications to include advanced open water and rescue diver.  He’s been around water his entire life and thoroughly enjoys it recreationally and professionally.

Steve joined IDHS in November of 2019 and quickly became a partner and co owner in February 2020. Steve brought with him a wealth of knowledge drawn from 10 years of diving and 25 years of state and federal level law enforcement experience. Steve has diving certifications to include nitrox and advanced open water.

Paul Wood was and continues to be instrumental in providing key consulting advice during the establishment and continued growth of IDHS. Paul is our Dive Supervisor for special projects to include but not limited to construction pipe plugs, inspections, and commercial vessels projects. Paul began his diving career with the US Navy, where he conducted over a 1000 dives. After his honorable discharge, Paul spent sometime working for various commercial dive companies before running his own commercial dive company for 14 yrs.

Jeff “CJ” Corrie spent 25 years diving with the US Navy gaining expertise in ship & submarine repair having performed and supervised over 2,500 diving operations. During the course of countless deployments and training exercises he conducted salvage operations, surface supplied air and mixed gas diving, search and recovery of service members remains, closed-circuit/rebreather diving and demolition operations. He attained his degree in Oceanography from Hawai’i Pacific University, is a qualified EMT and owner of the fledgling Kingfish Marine Services based in Virginia Beach, VA. In his spare time, he enjoys underwater basket weaving and long walks on the beach with his pet hermit crab “Bubbles”.

Amelia obtained her open water certification when she was sophomore in high school. She has always been a water lover as she swam competitively, played water polo, was a lifeguard, and got her boater’s license in sixth grade. After obtaining her Master of Divinity and Master of Business Administration from Regent University while working full time, she decided she wanted more than just a desk job. Going back to her heart for water led her to IDHS. Amelia plans to continue expanding her scuba diving experiences, training, and business knowledge. She is happily working in the water and on land for IDHS.

Andrew brings more than 20 years of shipyard experience to Intracoastal Diving, where he worked as a welder, foreman, and superintendent. During his career, he played a key role in major projects such as the drill construction for the new HRBT tunnel.

In addition to his shipyard expertise, Andrew served 14 years in the Fire Service, including a decade as an Officer. He is a State Hazmat Certified Technician, a Level 1 Fire Instructor through the Office of the State Fire Marshal, and a trained Swift Water Rescue Technician. His leadership background and technical skill set make him a strong asset both in and out of the water.

Outside of work, Andrew enjoys life on his farm and dedicates time to rehabilitating wildlife. He also has a lighthearted side—building a quirky collection of My Little Pony unicorns and Beanie Babies.
